Best Ice-Cream Sandwich

Everyone loves KDD's ice cream Sandwich. My only gripe with it is that it's got that frozen wrapper/fridge taste that goes along with it. I wanted the real thing, so I was determined to find a place that serves a freshly prepared ice cream sandwich. I decided to try the ice cream sandwich from Nestle Toll House and Potbelly.

The Return of Blah Blah

So it's been exactly a year since my last blog post... June 7, 2011. Where have I been? Well I've been around, working mostly, gathering things to post about which I have quite a large backlog of stuff including food (of course), gizmos, and just the most random stuff.

Ok, I'm assuming this is new because I don't recall seeing it at the store before they renovated it. Personally I think it's a horrible representation of the Gap logo. A colleague of mine made a good point by saying it look's like they're giving you the finger! #LogoFail

I saw this over a month ago in the papers and thought it was one of the stupidest kids meal giveaways ever! It's like giving away pet chicks at KFC or cows at steakhouses! Ridiculous!

VIDEO: Marina Mall Kuwait Breaks World Record

I was at Marina Mall about 2 weeks ago and spotted thousands of balloons (70,275 to be exact) all over the place. Apparently they had just broken a Guinness World Record for the Longest Balloon Chain in the World.

Captured the entire length of the balloons on video. It was about a 9 minute walk around the mall to cover all the balloons. Video above is shot at 2 times the speed. Enjoy!

*Had issues with the audio track, so I needed to substitute it with some BS track from Youtube... copyright sucks!

Patriotic Bread

This February is a big one for Kuwait. They're celebrating 50 years of independence and 20 years of liberation (from Iraq in 1991). The entire country is decorated in flags, pictures of the Amir, lights, neon signs, projectors, LED screens, building signs and even bread branding!

Left Overs 2010

Whatsup 2011?! So I haven't been blogging at all this year... no surprise my excuse is that I've been swamped with work, but I haven't been completely useless and I've still managed to find stuff to snap pictures of in my absence to make my comeback.

This is a "Surf & Turf" burger from Applebees, looks way better than it tastes.

Ferrero Rocher cake I had at Taste of Kuwait 2010. It was great, I just don't recall which restaurant it was from.

Part of Friday's "Premium Burger" promotion, the first burger above was their Mushroom & Swiss burger while the second one is their Bruscheta burger. The burgers were ok, but the fried portobello mushroom wedges were out of this world!

Awesome sushi from Wasabi at the Avenues. That's Salmon Sashimi, Crunchy Crab and two other rolls I'm not sure of lol

McDonald's Grand Chicken burger... it was pretty huge. Tasted alright too.

I had first tried Fondue Melt Away back at the Taste of Kuwait and it was amazing. Going to the actual place and trying out the rest of their menu was just as good.

Really good seafood platter from Al Noukhaza at the Crowne Plaza.

Subway's new Flat Bread sub... can't really comment since there's the possibility I could get sued :P (Subway Kuwait is owned/operated by the same guys from Benihana)

The Gross Hair!

So this is gross... I found a hair on the wrapper of my sandwich I ordered at work the other day. Me being VERY picky with food, I usually would toss the whole thing and call and complain to the restaurant till their ears bled, but I was hungry... The whole time I was paranoid, checking each bite for more HAIR! :S

Download Your Facebook Account?

Was just on facebook's settings page trying to deactivate all stupid game requests and came across this... Download Your Information. You can find it under the Account button in the top right corner, then Account Settings.

Supposedly it compiles EVERYTHING you've ever posted, uploaded or published on facebook along with your friends list and messages in to a zip file. I haven't done it yet and don't think I want to re-download the gigs I've probably uploaded over the past 5 years.

Awesome twist on shoe marketing by Diesel. Most of them are ugly as hell, but hey if they're just gonna end up in someone's bum, who cares right? :P

.WWF - A green file format

Was just browsing the web and came across a new file format developed by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) that's essentially a PDF that can't be printed called a WWF document. It's part of their initiative to save trees and distribute files digitally so they won't have to be printed.

While I like the idea, I highly doubt this will fly. First, it's only compatible with Mac computers (who uses those anyway? :P) second, there will definitely be ways one can print the file. With all the haxors in this world, it's undoubtable.
